Julius and Doja

Julius and Doja are 11 and 12 years old and they have been in each other's lives since they were babies. Their love for each other is unlike any other I've seen. A few months ago, Wendy adopted this pair fully knowing how old they were and the potential of what could come owning a senior pair. It wouldn't take long for things to come to light and the challenges began. The first was sweet Doja who had a leg injury that required a TPLO surgery. She has recovered fully and is like a new dog. Next we got the very bad news that Julius had cancer. Mast cell cancer which can be the worst kind of cancer for a dog. So Wendy took him to all the specialists because these are her babies and she was willing to do whatever it took to make sure that he was either comfortable or cured. The news was not good and a plan was put in place on what to do next. The decision was made to have Julius's spleen removed and to attempt to remove the other four mast cell tumors from the rest of his body. Well the surgeries were performed and we waited. It wasn't long before the three of us were crying tears of joy.

JULIUS IS CANCER FREE!!!!!!!! THE FOUR MAST CELL TUMORS WERE SUCCESSFULLY REMOVED AND ALL FOUR HAVE CLEAR MARGINS AND ALL OF THE TUMORS IN HIS SPLEEN WERE BENIGN. AT THIS POINT HE IS CLEAR AND CANCER FREE WITH A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH. PLEASE HELP US CELEBRATE IN THIS FABULOUS NEWS.
